Uniform brown cloth with gilt title on the front boards and spines. = An uncommon set of all ten volumes published, each in its own, original dust jacket. Each contains fascinating mountaineering reports, travelogues, and stories, usually acompanied by fine photographs. It includes, for instance, a large folding view of Khumbu-Cwm, with Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, etc. The volumes are dated 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956/1957, 1958/1959, 1960/1961, 1962/1963, 1964/1965, 1966/1967, and 1968/1969. This series was initiated by the Swiss Foundation for Alpine Research and published in three language versions, this being the English edition. Well-illustrated. Some, mostly light wear to the older dust jackets. A set of very good, clean copies.
