A very good 4 volume set, in maroon cloth with title and emblem of the world embossed on covers, titles in gilt on spines. Clean inside and out with a light scratch to cover of volume 1 and in volume 4 a few closed tears to lower page margins not affecting text, and small bump to bottom of back cover, spines a little darkened. Ilustrated throughout with line drawings by J. F. Hourabin, black and white photographs, maps and diagrams. 8" high X 5 1/2 " wide, 1395 pages, index. Overall a nice set.
