No marks or inscriptions. Tiny crease to lower corner of rear covers and last three pages, none to front, single crease to spine. A very clean extremely tight copy with bright unmarked boards, slight browning to margins and to upper and front page edges and no bumping to corners. 231pp. Very detailed story of the poster including a wealth of mainly coloured illustrative examples, often full-page covering a period from the late 18th century onwards. Many iconic examples. Includes an essay on The Development of Poster Art by Carlo Arturo Quintavalle.
