Edizione: goldsmith’s beloved work in as fine a format as one could hope to find, with the additon of smollett's adventures. george cruikshank's delightfully detailed and skillful illustrations would be hard to surpass, making this a true gem in its pretty binding. cruikshank's drawings are in much the same style as those he did for works by jane austen and charles dickens.<br> goldsmith's popular and sentimental novel remains a timeless staple for lovers of british literature. a delightful blend of sentimentality and satire, its publication came about due to the goldsmith's close friendship with dr. johnson.
