Thanking the critic and journalist Robert Kemp for two articles and promising to send him a copy of his 1940 publication "Lieu d'asile" if he can lay his hands on one, as it was a "burnt edition", probably referring to the ravages of war: "Je ne veux pas attendre un jour de plus - j'en ai déjà laisser [!] passer bien assez - pour vous dire que j'ai reçu et lu vos deux articles. Ils sont très beaux, et ils m'ont profondément touché. S'il m'arrive de remettre la main sur un exemplaire de 'Lieu d'Asile' (édition brûlée) je vous l'enverrai, croyez-le bien [.]". - On stationery of the perpetual secretary of the Académie française. With an autograph note: "pas de réponse".
