An den Mediziner Rudolf Rt. von Vivenot (1807-1884): „Nel [.] le mie congratulazioni per la felice tua situazione presente [.] per le consolazioni del cuore che della mente, colgo l‘occasione della partenza da qui per la capitale del Signor Dottor Tyler irlandese che desidera vedere e profitterà dei progressi della Scienza in [.] medicina ed [.]“ (undat. Br.). - „My dear friend! Very much afflicted by your silence, I have hardly courage to write you the present lines, having already sent you two letters, since I left Vienna [.] which you did not answer. I know very well that the impulses of your heart, ever devotes to mankind, and the duties of your profession gave you so great occupations, that you could not find the necessary time to procure me the pleasure of receiving your favours [.]“ (Br. v. 9. XII. 1831). - Des weiteren über die Cholera: „You say that the cholera morbus is not a contagious disease! is it then produced by a peculiar constitution of the atmosphere? if it is so, why do you permit to open the windows, and why do you purify not the air in the room without permitting the introduction of atmospherical air, which is said to be the exciting cause of the cholera? [.]“. - Der Triestiner Arzt Goracuchi lehrte als Professor der Medizin in Venedig. - Rudolf Rt. von Vivenot gründete 1848 den „Konstitutionell-monarchistischen Verein“; als sich die angestrebte Gründung einer patriotischen Partei nicht verwirklichen ließ, zog er sich jedoch aus der aktiven Politik zurück. Seit 1868 Mitglied der Deutschen Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina, wurde er 1872 Vorsitzender des Komitees zur Gründung des Sophienspitals in Wien; daneben war Vivenot Direktor des Unterstützungsvereins für Witwen und Waisen des medizinischen Doktor-Collegiums. - In altem Sammlungsumschlag.
