Front cover of the publisher's blue wrappers preserved bearing the title “Catalogo della libreria del fu Marc. Rinuccini”. Stamp of a German library on the title page with the indication “Ausgeschieden”. A good copy.
Sale catalogue of the library of Pier Francesco Rinuccini, Marquis of Baselice, the last male member of the Rinuccini family from Pontassieve near Florence. The catalogue is divided into seven sections for books in Latin, Italian, French, English, Spanish, and German; the final section is devoted to periodicals. A label pasted on the title page states that prices are in Tuscan lire, buyers are responsible for packaging costs, and booksellers are given a 15% discount. Ultimately, the library was purchased by the Tuscan government in 1850 and divided between the State Archives of Florence, the Laurentian Library and the Magliabechiana Library (the latter of which was later incorporated into the National Central Library of Florence in 1861).
