Plates copied from Georgi's "Beschreibung aller Nationen des Russischen Reichs" ("Russia, or, a compleat historical account of all the nations which compose that Empire"), published in four parts from 1776 to 1780. The present copy has only a French title page but contains content in both French and English. The plate watermarks show the date 1823. - Binding rubbed and bumped. A few plates have slight edge tears (many of which are restored). Occasional offsetting to plates; some brownstaining. Armorial bookplate of Wellington College. - Cf. Colas 1016.
