A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked slightly irregularly sunned boards, rubbing to ends of and small scratch to spine and no bumping to corners. 724pp. With a ten page introduction by Joseph Conrad, this very well-researched and well-wrtten account of the countries and cities across the world tells us what our world was like 100 years ago with nearly 700 photographic illustrations including about 200 in full colour or photogravure.
