The book is probably unread. 80pp. Over two dozen pen portraits of Derbyshire personalities who, for one reason or another, have been remembered beyond their own day and generation. They include canal engineer James Brindley, Derby artist Joseph Wright and Minstrel of the Peak William Newton.
