Tucker über die deutsche Übersetzung und Publikation seiner "Recollections" in Buchform: "Your letter reached me here in London and I am just on my way back to Oxford. I have been in correspondence with the Editor of the Deutsche Rundschau about a translation of my Recollections. But he last decided against it, because as he says all the plans have been picked out and published in a large number of German papers. He advises publication in book form and thinks I ought to translate the papers myself. That would make a publication of these papers in a serial form very difficult now. You know what the German Reviews pay. £15 a sheet is considerd very good and that is what Dr. Roderbeg has paid me hitherto. But I doubt whether a German translation in a serial form is now feasible [.]". - Auf dem Gegenblatt ein eh. Brief mit U. von H. T. Tucker an Dr. Heilborn mit der Nachricht, Müller wolle die Publikation in Buchform abwarten: "This is all I can get out of Professor Max Müller. I don't see that there is any thing to be done.
