One of the greatest successes of Léon Lebègue for this story of Anatole France telling us the loose morals of Madame Violante to the great displeasure of her husband and her confessor Brother Jean Curelure.
This humorous story comes to life with the characters drawn by Lebègue, bright colors, magnificent and mastered composition accompanied by a calligraphy in harmony with the subject.
