Original editorial blue cloth with gilt lettering on spine, faded but still readable, cover worn with a couple of dents on the outer hinges with negligible loss, author’s presentation on endpaper, internally VG, overall a G-to-VG copy. With many b/w illustrations and diagrams throughout and tables, some of which large, folded. Massive work on high explosives, often referred to in literature, probably the most comprehensive and important book in English at that time on the subject.
