Full title “Hydraulia; A Historical and Descriptive Account of the Water Works of London and the Contrivances for Supplying Other Great Cities, in Different Ages and Countries”. Modern strong blue cloth binding with gilt lettering on spine, ex-libris label on pastedown and stamp on endpaper, just one stamp noted inside (Preface), small tear on upper margin of frontespice (not affecting text, see photo), complete with all plates and folding maps except for the portrait facing the title, replaced by plate originally at p.288, otherwise in VG conditions, a clean and tight copy. Scarce historical work on the waterworks of London and other great cities.
