Descrizione

About the Book:-Nagavarma is the oldest grammarian of the Kannada language whose works are now extant, though by no means the earliest author in that language. Whether he had any predecessors in formulating the rules of its grammar, we have no knowledge. He was very intimately acquainted with this language and composed this valuable book. This is a standard work on Kannada grammar by him, who lived early in the 12th century, and is regarded as the greatest Kannada grammarian. The verses are romanised with the Kanarese appended, in all 280 sutras are given. In 1145 the Nagavarmarma wrote this book in Sanskrit language about Kannada grammar. This book refers that Kannada is also an important communication language as Sanskrit. And it is the first Kannada grammar. This book is very useful for the student, learner, and teacher. This book is a reprint of the 1884 edition.
