4to [28.5 x 23 cm]; xxviii, 115, [i, limitation page) pp, 24 fine colored plates including 4 large folding, one plate with two images. original half red morocco, marbled boards and endpapers, gilt title lettering, top edge gilted, fine, clean and unmarked copy. A picture of this book is available upon request by email. The first edition of 1820 was published in London by R. Ackermann. The fine plates are of views, activities, people, etc. Welch 252. Abbey Travel 698. Tooley 495: 'owing to the importance of its subject and the fact of its being the only notable color plate book in English dealing with Argentina, it always commands a high price.'
