Descrizione
155pp G+/none First (only) edition. Editorial red cloth slightly worn, gilt lettering on front board and spine and red edges, rear cover spot stained, traces of dust on pastedown and endpaper, small stain (from oil?) present in the outer margin of the preliminary sheets up to about pp5-6 not affecting text or illustrations, overall a good copy of this scarce and important work. This is the original edition and not a modern reprint or reproduction. James Swinburne was a very experienced and highly respected electrical consulting engineer, his expertise ranging from power stations to wireless telegraphy. In 1902-1903 he was President of the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE); in 1912 appointed by the British Government as member of the Technical Committee considering the Imperial Wireless Scheme.
