First published in 1684, the year after the failed Ottoman siege of Vienna. - Niccolò Arnù (1629-92) held the chair of Metaphysics at the university of Padova; among his many works is a commentary on the "Summa Theologica" of St. Thomas Aquinas (cf. Wetzer/Welte I, 1440). - Formerly in the Ottoman collection of the Swiss industrialist Herry W. Schaefer. - ICCU BVEE\045772. Not in STC.
