Later plain wrappers. = A malacological contribution by the "Father of modern Geology", the British palaeontologist Charles Lyell (1797-1875). With the illustration of remarkable and new fossil shells. The fine plate is by George Brettingham Sowerby II. Published in the Society's Transactions 2(6). Plate verso a bit toned, otherwise a very good, clean copy. Not in Ward and Carozzi.
