8vo., First Edition, with portrait frontispiece and plates, neat contemporary signature on front free endpaper; navy cloth, gilt back, a very good, bright, clean copy. Von Werra was the only Axis POW to achieve a home run from a British Camp (in Canada). His story forms the basis of Roy Ward Baker's feature film 'The One that got Away' (1957) starring Hardy Kruger. Worn dustwrapper loosely inserted. Not recorded by Enser.
