Un des 1000 exemplaires sur papier vélin Francia numérotés (n° 828), 1 vol. in-12 br., coll. Sequana, François Bernouard, Paris, 1931, 227 pp. Etat très satisfaisant (couv. frottée en marge) pour cet exemplaire du tirage numéroté. Ruth Shepard Phelps (1876-1949) était une universitaire américaine, professeur associée en langues romanes. Après son mariage avec Paul Morand en 1929 (un homonyme du diplomate et académicien célébre, qui passa une thèse à Lyon sur l'oeuvre poétique de John Milton en 1939), elle partit s'installer en France avec lui. Leurs oeuvres écrites en commun sont parues sous le nom de plume Phelps-Morane, probablement pour éviter la confusion avec le "célèbre" Paul Morand.
