Melbourne, C.S.I.R.O., 1957-1959. Three parts in three. Large 8vo (24.1 x 17.8 cm). 114 [55; 18; 41] pp.; 20 [10; 5; 5] plates. Original uniform printed wrappers. = A thorough monograph of the swimming crabs, with the inclusion of new species. Published in three issues of the Australian Journal of marine and Freshwater Research, together with several unrelated papers. The first paper (genus Thalamita) is by Stephenson and J. J. Hudson; the second (1957; genus Charybdis) by both these authors and B. Campbell; the third (genus Portunus) by Stephenson and Campbell. Two more parts (remaining genera, and additions) were published but are not included. Two issues with a stamp on the front wrapper, otherwise a very good, clean set. Very uncommon.
