No marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers, slight softening to spine. A very clean very tight copy with unmarked very dark green buckram boards, dusty page edges, tanned end papers, clear gilt lettering to spine, very slightly loosened front hinge towards upper edge, small indent to front fore-edge where the book has at some time been wrapped in cord and minor bumping to lower corners. Large fold-out map (75 x 50 cm) near front in very good condition with very small tears to parts of two folds. 304pp. The first work to describe the birds in the entire county of Kent with a short description of their eggs and nests. Also includes Rye Harbour. Extremely scarce.
