Sm. 8vo., First Edition thus; original paper boards, sewed as issued, dove-blue endpapers, wanting backstrip (but binding entirely sound), a very good, clean copy. Secker's original forms sermons XII, XIII and XIV of the author's 'Sermons on Several Subjects' (1795). It was first published with Stevens' additions in 1808. Stevens was rector of Panfield in Essex. The Rivingtons were at this time booksellers to the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge (SPCK). EXTREMELY SCARCE, ESPECIALLY IN ANY CONTEMPORARY BINDING.
