A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, minor traces of storage and no bumping to corners. 237pp. An account of the music tradition of Wales, rooted in temperance and Nonconformity, music was a form of collective popular culture that was meant to be spiritually uplifting - every valley would be exalted. But not everything worked out quite this way.
