Ex-library book with usual marks and stamps. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked matt dark green boards and very slight bumping to some corners. 189pp. The history of one of the largest Building Societies in the West Riding of Yorkshire from the inception of its constituent societies in 1851 to its seeming success in 1989. The last paragraph in the book is interesting bearing in mind what happened next. 'Based on the experience of the previous 140 years, the march (of the Society) into the 21st century will be nothing if not an exhilarating one.'
