The Miscellaneous Publications consist of monographic studies on different zoological subjects, but in this set, all (and only) the entomological contributions are gathered, starting with Miscellaneous Publications No. 1. on Odonata, followed by no's 2, 9, 11, 14, 21, 22 (all on Odonata), 23 (Orthoptera, Acrididae), 36 (Odonata), 53 (Diptera, crane flies), 54 (Orthoptera and Dermaptera), 62 (Coleoptera, Mordellidae), 84 (Coleoptera, Scarabaeidae, 88 (Lepidoptera, moths exclusive Tineoidea), 90 Crane flies (Erioptera) of Alaska and NW Canada, 98 Tabanidae of Michigan, 104 Odonata of Michigan, 107 Tetragoneuria (Odonata), 116 Bird-Locust genus Chstocerca, and 121 Homoptera, Cicadidae. Both the many papers on dragonflies and those on other groups are chiefly taxonomical and zoogeographical monographs (dealing mostly with North America).
