This is a fine hardcover copy in a very good dust jacket. Completely clean inside and out. Faint scratch to back of dust jacket. Small erased area on front endpaper. Profusely illustrated in black and white. Massive survey of New York architecture between the two world wars. Written by a team including Robert A. M. Stern, professor of Architecture at Columbia University. This is one of the more knowledgeable and useful guides not only to the architecture but the fascinating social history of New York during this period. The authors discuss in detail the relationships of the people who commissioned buildings and interiors and the architects, designers, and craftsmen who provided them. Large stout 4to, 11" high X 9" wide, 847 pages. Highly recommended.
