No wrappers. = A very rare original issue of this paper, taken from the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society for the year 1685 (so not from the later, abridged edition). Unbound, but contents fine, in a recent protective portfolio. Boyle was one of the early contributors to the famous Philosophical Transactions- the longest running scientific journal. Boyle's numerous contributions to the Transactions are sometimes referred to as his "work diaries". Early volumes, issues or articles from the first 25 years of the transactions are nowadays extremely hard to find.
