London, John van Voorst, 1863-1868. Two volumes in two. 8vo. 1,100 [507; lvi, 536] pp., numerous copper engravings. Original uniform embossed blue cloth with gilt title on the spines. = The fine illustrations in the text do not only include detailed images of the various species of Amphipoda but also many vignettes showing seaside scenes. Inscribed by a former owner on the front free endpapers, otherwise a very good clean set. Clean, uniform sets as this one are quite scarce.
