He travelled from India through Kashmir, Afghanistan, Persia, by the Caspian Sea to Russia, from Petersburg finally he took a ship to England, visiting and describing amongst other the cities of Calcutta, Murshidabad, Patna, Benares, Allahabad Lucknow, Bareilly, Moradabad, Bilaspur, Nurpur, Jummu, Jalalabad, Kabul, Ghazni, Khandhar, Herat, Astrakhan and Moscow.
