Gilt lettering to spine and edges untrimmed. The vellum spine is spotted with brown markings. 54pp. Thought to have been published originally in 1485, the treatise here reproduced gives an account of the various remedies and curative methods adopted in the middle ages for checking the advance of the terrible diseases such as the Black Death. The text of the reproduction covers 18 pages and the introduction 36 pages. Reproduced in Facsimile from the copy in the John Rylands Library (No. 3).
