Spine with five gilt-lined raised bands; red morocco label with gilt title. Marbled edges. = The first part of this important and well-illustrated work, covering the gastropods. It includes new species. A bit rubbed, mainly at edges and spine foot. Library plate on front pastedown. Stamps on title; pencilled annotations on the front free endpaper recto. Text clean, but the plates stamped into the figures and therefore on our opinion a medium copy only.
