Descripción
Two parts with a total of 24 plates bound in one volume, complete. THE EXTREMELY RARE SET OF ENGRAVINGS AFTER J.M.W. TURNER FOR SCOTT'S POETICAL WORKS. Each part comprises a title-page and 12 engravings after Turner on fine, thick wove paper. Oblong 8vo. Bound in contemporary quarter calf and decorated boards. Binding lightly worn at extremities, but completely solid and still attractive. Some light foxing, mainly marginal, affecting several plates. Overall very good. Most sets were broken up or intercalated into editions of Scott's poetry, and thus complete sets like this one are of the greatest rarity. No copies in WorldCat.
