A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. 45pp. A Memorandum to the Chancellor of the Exchequer consisting of a study of the decline in living standards of (mainly poor) families between 1970 and 1975 which then puts forward various measure designed to improve the position of these families. From the Personal Library of the late Emeritus Professor Peter Townsend of Bristol University and the London School of Economics, Founding Professor of the University of Essex and founder of the Child Poverty Action Group.
