Descripción
London, The British Museum (Natural History), 1967. 4to. viii, 499 pp., six maps, five plates. Original red cloth with gilt title on spine. Printed pink dustjacket. In strong, taylor-made brown box with printed label. = An absolute mint copy of this important descriptive catalogue of mainly African and Asian-Australian bat flies with the inclusion of some new species. The group is peculiar for its superficial resemblance to lice as they are also mostly host-specific blood sucking parasites. Not the usual "ex library" copy, but in mint condition in the original protective box usually discarded by book dealers.
