Descripción

4to. 1 p. Beautiful letter to the journalist and art critic Adolphe Tabarant, congratulating him on his short-lived journal "Le Fer Rouge" and inviting him to his studio in order to talk about his new work. Lhote informs Tabarant that he has just been discharged and has returned to painting, albeit with great changes to his style that he wishes to discuss with Tabarant: "J'ai reçu avec plaisir 'le Fer Rouge' - J'ai lu, et j'applaudis. - In a short postscript, Lhote asks whether there is any news from "poor Géraud", possibly referring to the journalist André Géraud. - "Le Fer Rouge" was an anti-German socialist journal with the bellicose and revolutionary subtitle: "We want victory and we will have it: Let us prepare for the aftermath". - Minor browning.
