To General Henri-Joseph Brugère, in French: "In memory of the few reports we had when you commanded the 2nd Corps in Amiens" he intervenes on behalf of his son-in-law M. de Francy, 1st class subintendent in residence in Besançon: "The climate of this city is detestable for his wife and daughter who cannot live there in winter". He would like a change of residence, and currently a place is vacant in Orléans: "May I ask you for a recommendation from your friends at the War Ministry" (transl.). - Small contemporary notes in coloured pencil; overall in fine condition.
