Si j'étais à Paris où je ne rentre que le 26 de ce mois, je serais heureux de me rendre à votre aimable invitation, j'ai même hésité jusqu'à ce jour. Mais je suis à Enghien et pas des mieux portants. Je recule devant l'extrême fatigue […]". - The prolific playwright and vaudeville artist Clairville, who is credited with at least 230 miscellaneous pieces, would die of pneumonia less than three months after he wrote the letter at hand. - On stationery with embossed monogram.
