Oblong 8vo (postcard). 1 page. Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau. - Apart from his teaching job as a ceramicist in Stuttgart, Heider applied himself to painting, specializing in landscapes and flower still lifes, as well as war paintings which he created on the Russian Front in 1915. - Some faint ink spots; traces of a fold near upper left corner. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
