8vo [22.5 x 15 cm]; [ii], vi, 384, [ii, ads] pp, engraved frontis portrait of Don Pedro II, 3 folding maps (a large one in photocopy), including a map of the Falklands, numerous illustrations and plates, portraits, views, etc. original blind-stamped cloth, gilt spine title lettering, spine and joints worn and chipped, light foxing on frontis and title, interior is clean and quite good in good cover. Gore Ouseley, Sir Charles Hotham. There is a pencilled note on endpaper from Oliver Sheldon that book was passed down from his great grandfather.
