Published in the early 1930s, Raphael Tuck's 'Cathedral Story' series provides accessible and easily-written accounts of the great English Cathedals and Minsters. The authors, always well-informed, were almost exclusively senior clergy of their respective institutions, and the plates are well-chosen and atmospheric.
