Bruxelles, F. Hayez, 1882-1883. Two volumes in two. 8vo (23.7 x 15.3 cm). Uniform half calf over marbled boards. Spines with four raised bands, gilt vignettes and title. Marbled endpapers. Speckled edges. = The very rare start. Especially strong in palaeontology, in particular in the descriptions and illustrations of large Mesozoic reptiles, by Dollo and others. Slight shelf wear; hinges weak, otherwise a very good set of the rare start of this important and well-illustrated series.
