FIRST AND ONLY EDITION of this EXTREMELY RARE dictionary of monograms found in prints. Hundreds of monograms identified, 8 lithograph plates showing dozens of the more elaborate examples. ONE OF ONLY 60 COPIES PRINTED. According to a note on the free endpaper, part of this tiny edition was destroyed. Printed on fine wove paper. Small 8vo. Original wraps. Wraps somewhat worn, especially at extremities. Internally fine and bright.
