2 vols., 8vo., First Edition thus, with portrait frontispiece, 17 plates on 7 and 5 maps in the text; cloth (blue/red respectively) , gilt backs, a very good, bright, clean set in dustwrapper (one wrapper price-clipped), the wrappers lightly creased and spotted. The set comprises: Vol. I: text; Vol. II documents. First volume of De Gaulle's memoirs, originally published by Plon (Paris) as 'Memoires de Guerre: L'Appel 1940-1942'. This is the sole volume published by Collins; the second and third volumes appeared under the imprint of Weidenfeld & Nicolson. Enser, p.173 (recording erroneously all three volumes by Weidenfeld & Nicolson).
