The book attempts to explain and display (over 76 pages + index) the decorative themes that are used in Chinese carpets so that the buyer can distinguish them from those of India, Persia or Turkey. Both wool and silk rugs are discussed. LEARN about the Lotus-flowers design, the Pearl border, chrysanthemums, rosettes and various animals as they appear on carpets of the period.
