Published to mark the thirtieth anniversary of the landings, the strong and deceptively detailed text is supported by a wealth of well-chosen and captioned photographs. It was the first major publication to utilise recently declassified official records, and also includes numerous eye-witness accounts. Material signed by Costello in particular is very scarce.
