Edges speckled red. = Attractively illustrated work by the Austrian geologist Carl (or Karl) Ferdinand Peters (1825-1881), with, mostly, fossil shells. A part of the Internationale Wissenschaftliche Bibliothek (Band XIX). Boards and spine a bit rubbed, old blindstamp on title page, and two old stamps on title page verso, otherwise very good.
