Spine with three raised bands, gilt floral vignettes and title. Marbled endpapers. Speckled edges. = A rare publication, being part of the scientific results of this German Expedition and published on behalf of the Geographische Gesellschaft zu Bremen. It deals with the botany of east Greenland in eight chapters, written by various botanists, including Das Klima und Pflanzenleben auf Ostgrönland by Adolph Pansch. Other chapters deal with higher plants (Gefässpflanzen, by F. Buchenau and W. O. Focke), liverworts, fungi, diatoms, driftwood, etc. Mostly marginal foxing throughout; the plate cleaner.
