Descripción
8vo., Seventh Impression, neat contemporary inscription on front free endpaper, endpapers lightly spotted; red cloth, gilt back, a bright, clean copy in unclipped dustwrapper, the latter mildly rubbed at extremities and spotted at fold-ins. Published two months after the first edition, in the year in which Pasternak was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. The well-known dustwrapper design, inspired by Mondrian, is by John Woodcock. This book is the basis of David Lean's Oscar-winning feature film (1965) starring Julie Christie and Omar Sharif.
